Earlier this year the project won the award at the national level and then nominated for APAC awards. We now hear that the project has been nominated for global awards. DCD awards are considered as the Oscars of the data center industry.

UPPCL is the transmission and distribution utility in India’s largest state Uttar Pradesh. Its 5 DISCOMs serve more than 20 million consumers with connected load of 35 GW and energy sales of about 55,000 MU per year. Fluentgrid implemented its smart utility product suite comprising of CIS, CRM, RPS, MWM and BI products on cloud for UPPCL’s four DISCOMs namely DVVNL, MVVNL, PVVNL and PuVVNL. The landmark cloud implementation covering nearly 14.5 million consumers was completed in record time for a project of this size and complexity.

Mr. Murali Krishna Gannamani, MD & CEO of Fluentgrid praised the efforts of all Fluentians who made it happen and thanked the UPPCL management for reposing faith in Fluentgrid to execute the project. He also thanked the DCD team for encouraging companies by rewarding their innovative efforts thereby sending a message to others across the world for thinking on those lines. He is confident that in the coming months many more DISCOMS would confidently take the UPPCL route and that Fluentgrid is well positioned to support them.
