Job Summary
The Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure with a strong focus on AWS cloud administration. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in AWS services, hybrid cloud environments, networking, security, and cost optimization. The candidate will ensure high availability, scalability, and compliance of mission-critical workloads while driving modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Cloud Administration
- Provision, configure, and manage EC2 instances, Auto Scaling Groups, and Elastic Load Balancers
- Administer S3 buckets, lifecycle policies, replication, and storage classes
- Manage VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT gateways, VPNs, and Direct Connect
- Implement IAM roles, policies, MFA, and fine-grained access controls
- Configure CloudWatch alarms, dashboards, and logs for proactive monitoring
- Manage CloudTrail, AWS Config, and X-Ray for auditing and governance
- Administer RDS (Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, and ElastiCache
- Deploy and support Lambda, API Gateway, Elastic Beanstalk, and Step Functions
- Integrate GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF, and Shield for threat detection and protection. Optimize costs using Cost Explorer, Budgets, Trusted Advisor, Compute Optimizer, and Savings Plans
Infrastructure & Data Center Management
- Oversee on-premises servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage systems
- Ensure disaster recovery readiness and business continuity planning
- Implement enterprise backup and recovery solutions
Automation & Optimization
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible
- Develop scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for routine task automation
- Monitor performance and recommend infrastructure upgrades
Collaboration & Support
- Provide Tier-3 support for escalated AWS and infrastructure issues
- Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines
- Liaise with vendors and AWS support for advanced troubleshooting

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure administration with at least 5+ years in AWS cloud administration
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in hybrid/multi-cloud environments
