Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Zabbix Monitoring Engineer with 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing, managing, and optimizing Zabbix monitoring solutions. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance monitoring, and proactive issue detection across IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Zabbix servers, proxies, and agents
- Strong Knowledge
- Monitor servers, networks, applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure
- Create and customize templates, triggers, dashboards, and alerts
- Perform performance tuning and capacity planning
- Troubleshoot monitoring issues and reduce false positives
- Integrate Zabbix with third-party tools (ITSM, ticketing, alerting systems)
- Generate reports and provide monitoring insights to stakeholders
- Ensure high availability and backup of Zabbix components
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 -8 years of experience in Zabbix monitoring and administration
- Strong understanding of Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
- Knowledge of SNMP, TCP/IP, ICMP, and network monitoring concepts
- Experience monitoring servers, databases, virtualization, and applications
- Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, or similar) is an advantage
- Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases used by Zabbix
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Zabbix Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Additional Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Exposure to DevOps or monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios
- ITIL knowledge or operational support experience
